Mini-Olympics 2011

In honour of the Olympics being held in London in 2012, we decided to host our own "mini olympics" to raise money to help pay for all the special things our children get to experience, such as theatre groups.

Each year group was split into 5 countries and each country participated in all the sporting activities trying to win as many points as possible for their country.  Each year group had 3 children who achieved bronze, silver and gold medals, and there was of course a winning country overall.

The olympic torch was brought in and paraded around at the start of the games.

The children (and staff) had a fantastic time joining in with all the fun activities, which included, basketball, gymnastics, horse riding, throwing, ball skills and riding around the Island (painting on the playground!) by scooter.  What a marvellous day, and the weather stayed fine for us.

The children managed to raise a wonderful £258.90, well done to all the families for supporting them.
