NewsFundraising for the Japanese Tsunami Ash Class were very concerned about the events that happened in Japan recently, and this was discussed in class. The children decided that it would be a good idea to raise some money for all the people who are suffering now. After a long discussion and a vote, the children decided to hold a raffle and to do a sponsored walk. The staff donated prizes for the raffle and tickets were sold, this raised £50 towards the cause which we were all very pleased with. The sponsored walk went ahead despite grey skies and the children enjoyed themselves. They really did themselves proud as they managed to raise £205. Well done to all the children and to their generous families too. Ash Class were very proud as they handed over £255 to Bill and Alan from the Rotary Club at a special assembly. The gentlemen were very pleased with the money and thanked the children for their wonderful help.
Well done to you all - Mrs Webb is very very proud of you. You are special caring children. |
