NewsThe Big Freeze at Barton January 2010 After an unexpected snowfall overnight on Tuesday 5th January the school was closed for 3 days. The children and their families had a wonderful time at home, building snowmen, sledging, having snowball fights and going for walks. Fantastic families turned out on the Sunday before school resumed armed with shovels to help clear pathways. They did an absolutely fantastic job and the school is very grateful to all of them for their help. Monday, and school begins again even though it is still heavily covered in snow. The children had a super day having fun in the snow still covering the school field. Each class made a snowman, don't they look great?
