The day was sunny and hot, and families turned out by the dozen to enjoy a lovely healthy family picnic.  Not only did everyone enjoy the food and atmosphere, we had entertainment in the form of the Young Dragons Martial Arts Club, and the Country Dancing Club.  At the end of the dancing display families were invited to join in with the dancing, and had the largest Circassian Circle ever seen! 





Once the festivities were over, families ventured indoors to marvel at the children's activities from Chinese Week, and had the opportunity to participate in some of the activities themselves.  They had things like kite making, paper cutting, building the Great Wall of China, cooking (and tasting!), sewing and Chinese Writing. 

This was a lovely culmination of a fantastic cultural awareness week, where children enjoyed discovering a little piece of the Chinese way of life.
