Barton Primary School and Early Years Centre has achieved the prestigious Green Flag Award for being an eco-school.  The children care so much for the environment and look after it wherever they can.  Most things are recycled in the school and the children look after their own gardens and grow their own vegetables in the allottment, to name a few of the things that led to this wonderful achievement.

Alan Titchmarsh, the new High Sheriff for the Isle of Wight, came to the school to raise the flag on our new flag pole.  He was impressed by all that the children do and was more than happy to raise our flag!

Not only were our present eco-club there, past eco-club members came back for the occasion...
