NewsTake One Picture Exhibition As a culmination of two weeks of the Take One Picture project Barton hosted a splendid exhibition. Each group were given a sail on which to display the work that had been carried out by their group. The sails were then raised around the school and people were able to come and view the exhibition. Take One Picture is a project where the school looks at one picture, in this case it was the 'Fighting Temeraire' by Turner. The children then came up with ideas of the sorts of things that they would like to find out, connected with the picture. They were then able to choose their groups and work in mixed year groups to produce their work focussing on their particular interest with regards to the painting. The work is of an exceptional standard. The children covered almost all of the curriculum subjects through their focus and really enjoyed the experience of working together. Alan Titchmarsh looked round the displays and pronounced that it would blow the parents' minds. What do you think? REFLECTIONS
