Children In Need

What a fun and hectic Children In Need day we had!

In the run up to the big day each class covered Pudsey Bears in coins to see who could win the cuddly Pudsey for their class room.  Well done to Willow Class who covered 25 Pudsey bears.  The whole school combined managed to cover a massive 88 Pudsey Bears!!

A raffle was held and the coveted prize was to be Mrs Wales' Personal Assistant.  Billy and Reece were the lucky winners and did a tremendous job during the morning.  The winners for the afternoon were Jay and Leah and they were fantastic help to our busy head teacher.  Although they were so good that she will have to watch out as they could be after her job!!  The raffle raised a fantastic £38.20.

Mrs Smyth worked very hard to make badges and a massive 250 Pudsey Bear badges were sold.  Staff spent hours making Pudsey cakes and biscuits which were sold during playtime, and children paid 50p each to dress up in something beginning with p.  We had some super ideas; such as pirates, police officers, poppies, princesses, pop stars and people wandering around in their pyjamas to name but a few.

The staff performed a puppet show for the enjoyment of the children and danced to the yodelling song from 'The Sound of Music'.

Overall a whopping £441.24 was raised!  Well done to everyone who helped to make this the most successful Children In Need day ever.
