NewsNewport Carnival 2007 On Saturday 14th July our carnival club all participated in Newport Carnival. They dressed up in reds, oranges and golds to portray a summer sunset (not that we've had many this year!). They all looked extremely sparkly and eye-catching.
They had created 2 dances which they performed constantly for over 1 hour!! By the end of the parade they were exhausted! En route they received much appreciation and applause for their efforts. Comments from the crowd were plentiful and very positive. They won third prize, which they received near the end of the parade, and really finished on a high note. > The children and families that took part really enjoyed themselves, had fun the whole way round and said how great it had been. We are all raring to go for next year!! Mrs Webb, Miss Comber and Mrs Goldsmith are all extremely proud of the children. They have turned up for the carnival clubs each week since February, made their costumes by themselves with very little help from the adults, choreographed 2 dance routines, learned them, and finally turned up and performed throughout the carnival with huge smiles on their faces.
