Oak Class
Please look at the class gallery page for pictures from our trip to Little Canada.
We had so much fun at Little Canada. We had a go at lots of different activities. These included abseiling, the climbing wall, archery, zip wire, quad bikes, Jacob's Ladder and orienteering.
This Spring term has been very busy. We took part in Global Rock and went to Little Canada. We have also celebrated book week. Amongst these busy and exciting activities, we have been learning about the Earth through our topic 'Exploring our Earth'. This has been really interesting and the class have been very enthusiastic and engaged in their learning. As part of the topic, some children bought in projects based on our topic, which they worked on at home with family and friends. Here are some pictures of their work.
These are pictures of the pupils presenting their work and talking about them.
During the Autumn Term we experienced Forest School as part of our topic about Forest Life. First we had to look for dangers and hazards in the forest and mark them with a red flag.
Then we made a necklace from wood.
We learnt a reef knot to attach the string to the wood. We found and identified insects and minibeasts using identification charts.
Then we made creatures from materials found in the forest.
We went pond dipping!
We had great fun making and looking for things!
